Antilia : World’s Most Expensive Private Residence

Antilia : World’s Most Expensive Private Residence!

Mukesh Ambani is the richest man in India and the 6th richest man in the world. And, he has the most expensive house in the world. Antilia – that’s what the structure’s named – has become one of the most famous buildings in the country and we won’t be surprised if it was pulling in more eyeballs than the Taj Mahal and Qutub Minar.

The Ambani house has been a hot topic of conversation for many a people and although quite a few written about it, there are still a few things that may have escaped your attention.

For instance, did you know that spread over 400,000-square feet, Antilia: most expensive house in the world covers more space than the famous Palace of Versailles in France? Or that while on paper it is 27 stories high, its actual height is closer to that of a 40-story building. In fact, in 2011, the Ambanis spent more than 70 lakhs on their electricity bill – and that’s just for just two months!!

Don’t retrieve your jaw from the floor yet. Here are a few other facts that will make your mouth drop open over and over again.

1. Antilia has 6 floors dedicated just to cars. There is enough space to accommodate 168 cars in this building! On the seventh floor, the Ambanis have their own car service station while up on the roof, there are 3 helipads.

2. The house (if you can refer to a structure like that by a humble name like ‘house’) is a self-contained unit. Beginning with the lobby that has 9 elevators, Antilia has a spa, temple, ballroom (complete with gold and glass chandelier), private cinema, yoga studio, an ice cream room, several swimming pools, and a 2-story recreation center. There is also a snow room that showers artificial snowflakes on you! Just the place you’d want to head to when Mumbai’s heat becomes overpowering.

3. Antilia is serviced by a staff of over 600 people! The Ambanis take care of their employees and have an entourage room where they are allowed to relax and unwind.

4. Although there doesn’t seem to be space for it, Antilia also has a beautiful hanging garden. Intelligently designed, this garden does more than add to the building’s aesthetic appeal. The plants have been carefully selected to act as energy saving devices that absorb sunlight and keep the building cool.

Add a dash of orange to make your room instantly cheerful like this room of Antilia!

5. The house has been designed in a way that no two floors are similar to each other. The décor and the materials used to make the interior are exclusive to that particular floor and they haven’t been repeated anywhere in the building. Talk about style and opulence!

Mr Mukesh and Nita Ambani deserve it. All the best.

  3. What a waste of space and money just for a single family. Being rich and having the wealth and prosperity does not mean blatantly wasting it like this. Instead of wasting money on unnecessary lavishness it would have been better to put it to good use for the needy. Shame on the Ambanis for being so wasteful.

It’s shocking that the world’s wealthiest live in such unhindered indulgence when the poor have no place to rest. This reminds me of the saying, you can’t take it with you. If true, and so much is left behind, one must wonder what the Ambanis will be taking with them after all?

UGLY house inside and out…with ugly people with Plastic surgery…what a waste!! So much could have been done to help the needy but their vanity shrouds out everything.
Wonder how long this ugly structure will survive and continue to be an eyesore.

Yes its total waste . Insread you could have done so many good things for the needy people
Isame se ek bhi paisa ya cheez aap ke saath nahi aanewali

  14. Best this is you created temporary employment and have given India a chance to be projected in Global World. But all this could have been done in a better way with humanitarian outlook away from the materialistic ways. Hope you’ll be able to live simple life someday.

  15. Cant believe how hypocrite people are these days. Mr. Ambani worked days and nights for his whole life to reach here and the money is well deserved to him. Atleast he did not do any SCAMS like people do these days to get that money. I bet the people who say that he should give away his money to poor and needy, they wouldnt have even thought about it if they were Ambanis. Now, when he has achieved, why should he distribute his hard earned wealth to the poor and let them have everything for free. aren’t they supposed to work hard the same way? What have they done in their lifetime rather than being good for nothing and cribbing about them being poor and weak. And even if Mr. Ambani gives all his wealth to all the poor in this country, it will last for an time and then they so called POOR will again beg for more money coz they do not have the value for money. People need to stop giving away money to POOR and start teaching them how to earn money and be self sufficient on their own. So RESPECT to Ambanis for being an icon in business industry around the world and request to people to help the poor in a different way than giving away easy money.

  16. May God bless all but non payment from reliance company has forced our little self made company of 25 years to close. May b ambanis r not aware of unethical/ unprofessional ways adopted by their staff !
If they r genuinely concernd abt fellow citizens, ambani sd make effort to find out where their staff is causing detramental stuff to their image !

Horrible and ugly show off of wealth which can be used to feed millions of mouths and educate millions of kids ..I hope they realise that ,just like the poorest man on the planet, they too will take nothing with them when they die. This makes me so sad .

  19. How shallow can people get in life?? Colossal wastage of money…oh yeah!!! Saw a comment sating poor people are good at making babies…and why don’t u so called rich people do your own laundry and clean your own toilets…why do u need a poor servant for that then. Should we blame the ambanis or the kind of fan following they have :/

  20. with this we understand that you have excess wealth with you which keeps multiplying every moment. You filthy rich people go crazy not knowing what to do right with it. Had you even saved half of the wasted money on the interiors, few homeless people of this country would have got a shelter for life time. Their blessings would had made you real heroes. If you have good fortune now then their is nothing to feel pride in. If you can’t do anything better then at least don’t showoff on social media, you lose respect.

  21. If i got the chance to visit antilia, it would be my best day of my life…

  22. A very big fan… God Bless!!!

You deserve all this lavish, people who are taking shit should also understand that he is employing around 600 people. It means he is running 600 families.
We have one life and we should live king size.
